Douglas Phipps

Douglas David Phipps (born 27 July 1934) is a former English cricketer and British Army officer. Phipps was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm fast-medium. He was born in Edmonton, Middlesex. Palmer made his debut for Buckinghamshire in the 1952 Minor Counties Championship against Bedfordshire. Palmer made his only first-class appearance for a Combined Services team against Cambridge University in 1964.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=First-Class Matches played by Douglas Phipps )〕 In this match, he was dismissed for a duck in the Combined Services first-innings by Roy Kerslake. In their second-innings, he scored 15 runs before being dismissed by the same bowler. The subject name should be David Phipps .He was christened Douglas David but called David not to be confused with his father who was also Douglas.
David Phipps did not play for Buckinghamshire nor Norfolk and these references should be deleted as should the name Palmer from the article.
David Phipps was awarded the MBE in 1995 for his outstanding work during the run down and closure of Berlin Garrison.
